Getting your clinic found on Google Maps
Most patients searching for a doctor near them never scroll past the map. Here is what actually moves a clinic up it, and what is a waste of money.

When somebody types “dermatologist near me” into their phone, the first thing they see is a map with three clinics on it. Most people choose one of those three. Everything below is competing for what is left.
That block is not an advertisement. You cannot buy your way into it, which is good news for a practice that is willing to do the unglamorous work.
What actually moves you up
Distance. You cannot change it, and it matters more than anything else. A patient in Rohini will not see a Gurugram clinic no matter how good its profile is. This is why chasing city-wide rankings is usually wasted effort.
A complete profile. Category, hours, phone, website, services, photos. Not because Google rewards effort, but because an incomplete profile signals a closed or abandoned business.
Reviews, and replies to them. Volume matters, recency matters more, and replying matters more than most practices realise. A profile where the doctor answers is a profile Google treats as active.
Consistency. Your name, address and phone number should be identical everywhere they appear. A clinic listed with three slightly different addresses looks like three half-confident businesses instead of one confident one.
What does not work
Buying reviews. It is against Google’s policies, it is increasingly detected, and in healthcare it is also a professional risk you do not want.
Stuffing your business name with keywords. “Dr Sharma Best Skin Clinic Delhi Laser Treatment” is a violation, and competitors report it.
Creating multiple listings for the same address. Google merges or suspends them.
The honest summary
Local visibility is a slow, boring, compounding job. There is no trick. The practices that win are the ones that keep the profile current and answer every review for a year while their competitors do it for a month.
